Alison Till, RYT-500 907.333.9741 Angela Doroff, RYT Angie's regular asana practice began in 1991. Since then, her love of yoga has grown to include pranayama and study of yoga philosophy. She completed her 200 hour teacher training in 2000 and 500 hour certification with Donald Moyer and Mary Lou Weprin at the Berkely Yoga Room in 2006. Angie enjoys both the practice and teaching of yoga! Brie, RYT Brie was certified in 1979 at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center and has taught at universities and health clubs across the U.S. Inspired by "Light on Yoga" by BKS she incorporated his style in her teachings. In 1993, Brie started studying with Lynne Minton and has taken workshops with instructions Donald Moyer, Fr. Joe Pereira, Judith Lasater and others. Brie is committed to Yoga and feels inspired by her students and the transformations that yoga brings to every aspect of life. She strives to instill well-being and healing on all levels in her classes. Bruce Greenwood, RYT 907 223-5180 Bruce enjoys his yoga practice and teaching challenges him to explore and deepen his knowledge. Bruce has practiced hatha yoga at Inner Dance since 1999 and began teaching in 2002. The last couple of years, Bruce has focused on Anusara Yoga and is currently qualified as an Anusara-Inspired Teacher. He has been physically active in a variety of sports since childhood, began meditating in the 1970's and was a student of Kundalini yoga in the 90's. Elise Huggins, RYT Gail Turner, RYT Gail began practicing yoga in 1998. She completed the Inner Dance Studio Teacher training program in 2004. First attracted to yoga for its physical benefits she became aware of its more spiritual side after reading Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramhansa Yogananda. Now viewing yoga as a life path Gail looks forward to her continued journey and sharing yoga's both physical and spiritual aspects with students. Her Friday class includes moderate asanas to recharge the student's energy and a long restorative to refresh the mind and spirit. Jill Brekken Jill Williams, 907 351-0997 Jill was introduced to yoga in 1988 when she studied with Lynne Minton. Continuing studies with Lynne and Emilia Ponomarev in the style of Iyengar led to completion of the Inner Dance Yoga Studio Teacher Training in 2007. She currently is mentoring with Lonnie Chace, learning to make modifications for injuries and limitations. Her daily practice enriches her life and was instrumental in healing a broken leg last year. She is thrilled to offer a Wednesday morning class. Joan Darnell, RYT 907 345-4550 Joan has 16 years of experience as a student and teacher of Iyengar style yoga and earned her yoga instructor certification in 2000. Working in the Iyengar tradition, her classes focus on the creative use of yoga props to deepen the practice and enhance alignment, flexibility, balance and relaxation. Learn the power of props to make any yoga pose doable! As an avid skier and biker, Joan finds yoga a perfect complement to active sports. Joan gives exacting instruction in a warm and enthusiastic manner. Karen Greenwood, Director, PT, RYT 907 277-7037 Karen is a lifelong student of sport, dance and yoga. She completed yoga teacher training at the Inner Dance Yoga Studio in 2002. In her personal practice, Karen uses the physical movement, breath practice and spiritual centering of yoga to deepen her experience of life on and off the mat. She combines this personal experience with her training as a physical therapist in teaching and sharing the art and science of yoga. Lonnie Chace, RYT-500 907 345-5725 Lonnie Chace, RYT 500, teaches Gentle and Prenatal Yoga at the Inner Dance Studio. Starting her practice with Lynne Minton in 1993. She received her teachers certification and began teaching in 2000. Lonnie pursued teaching Gentle Yoga and received her Prenatal Certification with Colette Crawford and pursued a second teachers intensive with Judith Lasater. In 2006 she earned her Advanced Studies Certificate from the Yoga Room in Berkeley, training with Donald Moyer and Mary Lou Weprin. Her yoga interests are in "gentle" Yoga, making it accessible to everyone. I thank Lynne Minton for making my yoga experience such that I may comfortably share it with others. Lynne Minton, RYT 907.248.1965 Lynne was certified to teach yoga by BKS Iyengar in 1984. She established The Inner Dance Yoga studio in 1982 where she continues to teach and be inspired by students of all levels. Lynne is deeply grateful to her teachers of the past 25 years, BKS and Geta Iyengar, Donald Moyer, Judith Lasater , Fr. Joe Pereira, and John Friend. She has been assisting Molly McCarthy with the Kid's Yoga classes at the Inner Dance for the last couple of years. Marcy enjoys the energy of kids and is looking forward to sharing child like energy and enthusiasm for yoga with all kids at heart. Margi Clifford, RYT 907 277-YOGA Margi's path to yoga began on a small island in the Central Pacific when "Yoga for Hikers" arrived in a care package from Alaska. 6 years of study have passed since those early sessions by lantern light. She recently received a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology at APU which influences her teaching of yoga. Additional information can be found on www.yogaformentalhealth.com. Margo Sorum, RYT 907 276-9330 Margo loves working in small groups and one on one, exploring how yoga can best serve each body, personality and spirit. We have unique strengths and vulnerabilities and can create yoga practices capitalizing on our strengths and transforming our vices. Nina Sybil Stehr, RYT, BFA 907.274.0963 Nina Sybil began studying Yoga with Lynne Minton in 1985. She has studied and practiced movement and yoga in many of its various forms:dance, sacred movement, SIDDHA, Kundalini, Iyengar, and Anusara Yoga. She graduated from Lynne Minton's first Teacher Training Course in 2000 and has been actively teaching since. Currently she is continuing training in Anusara Yoga. Tom Light, RYT 907 441-8283 Tom has been practicing since 1991. He completed teacher training in Hatha Yoga, and is strongly influenced by Iyengar, Ashtanga, Kundalini, and Anusara styles. Tom's background includes running, coaching and competing in masters track events. His Friday vinyasa style "Happy Hour Power" class reflects an appreciation of alignment, physiology, and intent. |
